Open Letter to MPs

Dear member of parliament,

I have found it necessary to write to succesive Prime Ministers regarding a matter that has occupied my life for a quarter of a century; I wrote to Andrew Burnham on the matter when he came into office as Prime Minister. The matter is about candour by the intelligence services, something we hear much about but see little evidence of. I will condense my story in the hope it will become readilly digestable by the reader.

I worked for Convatec between 1989 and 2000, at the time a division of Bristol-Myers Squibb. I was a whistleblower who reported fraud, as well as Health and Safety shortcomings in the Convatec division, much associated with Freemason activity. I also joked about a machine I thought was a load of rubbish that needed blowing up.  Bristol-Myers with the assistance of an ex-FBI officer and the UK security services pushed back aginst my claims. Friends and family were drawn into the conflict; my private life was laid bare, as was my sensitive medical history. I was presented with scenarios that went back to my youth. To keep it short, I was severely gaslit by MI5. Tony Blair was Prime Minister at the time and Jack Straw was Home Secretary, MI5 reported to Straw.

At this point I hear you say, why didn’t you sue your employers? I took my case to an employment tribunal, after ACAS refused to discuss the matter. There was interference in the employment tribunal process, which I reported to my MP, Angela Eagle. I’d received a call on a number I hadn’t provided the tribunal with. Angela Eagle wrote to the tribunal and got the response my number had been dialled randomly. Since then she has not responded to any of my requests to get justice from MI5.

I left ConvaTec at the time of a restructuring, my trade was maintenance technician. In early 2001 I retrained in IT. I took up a placement at West Kirby Grammar School for Girls in the final school term of that year, all under the eye of MI5. When working at ConvaTec I’d joked about blowing up a piece of machinary I thought was a disgrace to have packaging clean room products. There were other issues regarding clean room machinary, but that doesn’t matter now. I believe an individual who oversaw the restructuring at the time I left ConvaTec was persuaded by one of the Bristol-Myers’ senior executives, who had ConvaTec in his reports, to report me to the authorities for my written comments. Why would a BMS senior exec do that? I had emailed him to say I didn’t believe the reasons being given for the restructuring. This raises the question, was I a whistleblower or a terrorist? If anyone really thought I was a terrorist, would MI5 really have allowed me to work at WKGS? Yes, they would, in the hope I’d compromise myself with one of the girls. You won’t get any candour from MI5 on matters like this. Suffice to say, I’m no more a terrorist than you the reader.

December 22nd 2001 an event occured that changed air travel for millions of people, Richard Reid the shoebomber tried to set off a shoe bomb on a flight from France to America. I believe that story to be conjured up by the CIA in conjunction with MI6. Reid, I believe, is an inocent man. Jack Straw formerly Home Secretary was by this time Foreign Secretary, still reporting to Tony Blair. At this point he controlled MI6. I had been used to dodging MI5’s attention, so when I was on a flight to Barbados on the 22nd December 2001, I wasn’t surprised to find an MI6 spook seated next to my wife, two seats from myself. I played with my shoes half way through the flight which caused alarm to the spook. After landing in Barbados the spook rushed into the terminal to relay his intelligence. I assume MI6/CIA thought this a perfect opportunity to bring in draconian security rules at airports around the World. Me playing with my shoes was the catalyst of the increased measures brought in for travellers. As I say, I believe Reid is an innocent man. What makes me laugh, Jack Straw, who is on the lecture/talks circuit talking about the War on Terror presumably repeats the official line, but it’s not the truth. Why doesn’t someone ask him what he knows about the Richard Reid incident?

I was subjected to more gaslighting in Barbados, from where I returned home after a week into a two week holiday, suffering from acute anxiety.

On return to the UK the gaslighting continued. Halifax bank, Liscard, Wallasey, where I had been a customer for many years, was my first stop on arriving home from Barbados. Two of their employees told me I didn’t have an account with them and refused to deal with me. I wrote to the bank manager to complain but received no reply. I wrote to the Halifax complaints department but they denied the incident took place.

One of the Halifax employees since that episode has made every effort to compromise me, by befriending me and acting as ears for MI5. This situation went on until she left Halifax three or four years ago.

I had been a glider pilot since the age of 15 but in October 2002, Tony Blair decided I shouldn’t be flying gliders. I had been visting a gliding site at Feshiebridge in the Cairngorms. For various reasons, not least my glider being partially vandalised, covered in oil and Durex packets left in the cockpit pockets, I didn’t fly. No permanent damage was done to my glider, just MI5 letting me know that need not always be the case. I left the site early. I had dinner the night before I left site with a group of glider pilots and during conversation one of the group wondered whether he had met my wife. “Did she wear a black leather suit?”. He made much of it and repeated himself several times. The following day the papers were full of photographs of Cherie Blair wearing a black leather suit to the Blackpool Labour Party Conference. Sometime later when flying from Bidford Gliding Club in the Cotswolds there was an incident that could have had a nasty outcome. I was defiant for years but eventually I felt I had no option but to sell my glider and give up flying.

As I say, this is a shortened version of events but I’m hoping it is enough to have my case investigated. One individual with past connections to the family, I believe, received payment for his services from Bristol-Myers Squibb.
